Our Founder

Meet Amber Surette, the driving force behind AMS Tutoring! As a certified teacher and a proud member of both the Ontario College of Teachers and the Alberta Teachers Association, Amber brings a deep passion for helping students unlock their full potential. With an Honours Bachelor of Arts in French from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Education specializing in French from Western University, Amber combines expertise with nearly 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience.

Amber founded AMS Tutoring because she understands how tough school can feel—whether it’s struggling with a subject, juggling expectations, or feeling stuck. Her mission is to make learning approachable, empowering, and even enjoyable, helping students build confidence, master skills, and see what they’re truly capable of achieving. For Amber, it’s not just about grades; it’s about inspiring students to believe in themselves and their ability to succeed.
